Hosting and Maintenance Agreement

These terms apply when incorporated into an accepted SiteCrafters proposal, scope, agreement, change order, invoice, or other written authorization. Updates apply prospectively unless SiteCrafters and the client agree otherwise in writing. Project-specific written terms control if they conflict with a general policy on this page.
Service and price
For eligible SiteCrafters-built websites, Hosting and Maintenance is $100 per month with a 12-month minimum commitment. It includes hosting, backups, security monitoring, WordPress core and plugin maintenance, uptime monitoring, minor content updates, and one labor hour per month.
Routine hosting administration, backups, security monitoring, uptime monitoring, and normal WordPress core or plugin maintenance do not consume the included labor hour. The included hour applies to eligible minor content and support work, does not roll over, and has no cash or credit value. Approved overage is $75 per hour in 15-minute increments.
Minor-update boundary
Minor updates are small edits to existing content, including text, replacement of an existing image, hours, contact information, pricing, staff names, similar existing information, and minor formatting corrections.
New pages, redesigns, forms, integrations, functionality, custom code, major layout changes, and substantial e-commerce work are excluded and require separate approval.
Standard hosting excludes email. Optional Hostinger email is available only with a SiteCrafters website and hosting plan at $9.95 per inbox per month on the Client’s domain. General email support is not included. Email service ends with hosting unless SiteCrafters specifically agrees otherwise.
Cancellation
Client may request cancellation in writing by email during the initial 12-month term but remains responsible for hosting charges through the end of that commitment. After the initial term, hosting continues month to month until canceled by written email before the next billing cycle.
Nonpayment and retention
SiteCrafters may suspend hosting for nonpayment and retain website data for up to 90 days beginning with the first unpaid hosting due date. Failure to receive a reminder does not waive amounts due, suspension rights, retention limits, or other remedies. After the retention period, SiteCrafters may permanently delete retained website data.
While the website remains retained and recoverable, reactivation is $150. Additional restoration or troubleshooting is $75 per hour in 15-minute increments. After permanent deletion, restoration is not guaranteed.
Support and backup limitations
Support is available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Central Time. SiteCrafters targets acknowledgment within one business day. This is not a guarantee of resolution time, uptime, recovery time, or restoration success.
Where supported by the hosting provider and plan, SiteCrafters uses daily automatic hosting backups. Retention is provider- and plan-dependent; no retention period is guaranteed unless specified for the Client. Backups, monitoring, and maintenance do not guarantee uninterrupted service, complete recovery, future compatibility, or protection from all loss or compromise.
Technical exclusions
SiteCrafters is not responsible for outages, failures, incompatibilities, loss, or compromise caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including hosting-provider, DNS, registrar, third-party software or service failures; API or platform changes; unsupported software; malware despite reasonable practices; Client-made changes; or failures involving Client-controlled or third-party-controlled accounts and systems.
Ownership, transfer, and legal terms
Ownership and transfer rights are governed by the Master Services Agreement. Hosting continues until canceled under this Agreement. The domain transfer fee is $125. A material breach may be terminated if not cured within 10 days after written notice. SiteCrafters may immediately terminate for fraud, illegal requests, threats, abuse, or system misuse.
